The 1986 Club is an affordable way to help SAAF to continue its mission of preventing the spread of HIV and providing comprehensive services to those affected by HIV/AIDS.
When Robert “Papa Bear” Edwards founded the San Antonio AIDS Foundation in 1986, he created our city’s first private AIDS hospice. It was literally the only safe haven for people who had nowhere to turn during the darkest days of the epidemic. Since then, SAAF has evolved into the city’s premier HIV/AIDS service organization, providing a continuum of care and tirelessly advocating for HIV prevention and ending stigma.
Your sustaining donation of just $19.86 per month goes directly to clinical care, HIV testing, dental and other health care referrals, transitional housing, a 365-day-per-year hot meals program, client case management, rent and transportation assistance, behavioral health counseling, prevention education, and more.
