CAFE SAAF
SAAF provides three meals daily, 365 days a year. Special holiday meals are prepared and served for Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

Since our inception in1986, the San Antonio AIDS Foundation has been providing free hot meals for people living with HIV who meet Ryan White eligibility criteria (500% of the Federal Poverty Level). All menus are developed to adhere to the dietary needs of people living with HIV/AIDS.

MEAL CARDS:
-
A meal card is required to receive a meal.
-
You need not be a client of SAAF. Your case manager at any HIV Service Provider must complete eligibility documentation and send the referral with this information to SAAF.
-
You will be asked to show the card for every meal.
-
Your eligibility must be renewed every six months with your primary HIV service provider.
-
Please check in regularly with your case manager to review needs, confirm plans for a visit to your doctor for checkup and lab work, and to discuss progress so that you can best manage your HIV status.
CHEF OF THE MONTH
Each month a local chef prepares a special culinary delight for clients.

The featured chef consults with SAAF's dietary team to create a menu for lunch or dinner. The chef uses the food and supplies provided by SAAF or may bring in supplemental items to prepare that month’s special meal.

For more information on how to become a Chef of the Month, contact SAAF Director of Dietary Services, Theresa Haywood-Castile at (210) 225-4715, ext. 114, or theresa@sanantonioaids.org
