TESTING & OUTREACH

The San Antonio AIDS Foundation provides more than 4,000 rapid HIV tests each year to residents in San Antonio and surrounding communities and counties.

 
AVAILABLE TESTING
  • HIV

  • Syphilis

  • Gonorrhea

  • Chlamydia

All screening and confirmatory services are provided free of charge.
Counseling is available in English and Spanish.

​

HIV testing is performed using the INSTI HIV Antibody test. It requires a tiny amount of blood from a finger-stick and results are available in 60 seconds. 

Confirmatory HIV testing is provided if initial result is positive, with Rapid Start linkage to medical and social services and pharmaceutical assistance.

SAAF uses the Syphilis Health Check™ - Rapid Syphilis Tests with results available in 10 minutes. Gonorrhea and chlamydia results are available in 7-10 days through the DSHS lab.

HIV testing may be done anonymously. Your name and contact information is not required, however your date of birth must be provided.
